We do not have much information on this store or even where it was exactly located in Elmendorf.  The sign says C.B. Gaskins Dealer in General Merchandise.  From the look of the people in the photo, we can make a general guess as to the time of the photo.  It would appear to have been taken in the late 1800s, possibly after the founding of the City of Elmendorf.  If so, this would be the earliest know photo of a business in Elmendorf, TX.
